A brief history
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I graduated from Central Catholic High School. I received a BFA in Graphic Communication from Edinboro University of PA in 1993. I worked in the art department of an adhesives company designing product packaging for print until relocating to the Valley of the Sun in 1996. I worked in the Scottsdale Airpark at Sirius Publishing, a CD-ROM company, in an art department with four other designers designing product artwork and company promotional materials.
In 1997, I started at 602 Design, a design firm located in central Phoenix. There I worked on print projects for Peter Piper Pizza, Fiesta Bowl, Phoenix Children's Hospital and KPNX-TV. This was invaluable experience for learning the marketing & creative process from beginning to end.
In 2000, I began work at Symbolic Productions in central Phoenix. Primarily a web design company, I had the opportunity there to concept and design web-related graphics work for internal projects, as well as clients such as Marriott, TDK, Hilton, and Barnet Dulaney Perkins. I was able to work closely with programmers and learned valuable skills in the web realm.
In 2003, I embarked on my freelance career and started Mike Rebel Design. I've worked on exciting web & print projects for a wide variety of clients from law firms to churches to enterpreneuers just starting out and needing design and marketing direction. Whether it's a logo, brochure, print ad, trade show display or website – my clients always receive a professional, thought-out, well-designed product that will further their goals in the marketplace and have them be seen for the quality busineses they are.
